The founder of Palmer Studio’s, Ian Palmer, picked up his first camera during freshman year of high school, and became obsessed with learning about all that it could do. That same year he got his first camera and filmed everything around him.  He started producing highlight films for his football and basketball teams and by senior year, became aware that he could make a little money by selling them. His teammates all really enjoyed having the memories on film, and he enjoyed being able to produce a product that would make people happy. This set the stage for his collegial pursuits.

He enrolled in a video program at his local community college in Santa Barbara. Excited by the equipment and expertise the college offered, he dove in and learned many great techniques that are still use to this day.  He was convinced he wanted to pursue a career in this industry and continued his education and earned a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from California State University Chico. After college he went straight to work building, what has now become, Palmer Studios.

The video production field is constantly evolving with new equipment and techniques.  Palmer Studio’s prides itself on staying up to date using the latest technology and equipment available.
